The Community Fund leverages funds raised by the Parents' Association to support projects and events that enhance the learning environment, student health and wellness, and the overall education experience.
The Fund is open to school management, teachers and staff, parents, and students. Teachers and staff should submit their requests to school management, who will collect and forward them directly to the PA board.
The online form is for parent and student requests only. Projects must benefit a broad group of students — such as a full Primary or Secondary cycle, a year group, or a language section — and promote inclusion, learning, personal development, and community spirit. Projects limited to a single class or small group are generally not considered unless there are exceptional circumstances. Funded projects must be non-profit in nature.
The committee will then evaluate the requests, and the final decision will be made by vote and communicated back to school management.
In the past, the Parents' Association has supported projects from the community fund: table tennis tables/bats/balls, t-shirts and materials for competitions of student teams with other schools, sound system in school theater, school activities such as bicycle test, benches in the playground, parties & graduation ceremonies, hot chocolate, the secondary sports morning.
Please note that although PA has financially supported field trips in the past, this is no longer the case, as parents should pay for field trips. PA will, however, provide financial support for families in need who struggle to pay for a school trip.
