Dear ESB community,

The European School Bergen's Chess Club once again made its mark at the annual Chess tournament
over the weekend of 27 January. Since 1990, ESB school has been a consistent participant with 12 victories and counting.

This year ESB competed against 16 other schools, and the ESB Chess Club secured the 7th position.

One of the highlights was one of our participants emerging as the best player of the tournament!

The event not only brought our fellow chess players together, but also highlighted the collaborative
spirit of our community.

Thank you to all the participants who proudly represented ESB on the
chessboard on Saturday and thank you to the PA for the financial support.

And thank you to all the parents and Chess instructor Rick for their efforts in
organizing and supporting our two teams.

We look forward to the challenges and victories which next years tournament will bring. And
congratulations to all our participants!
