All Primary, S1 and S2 students, parents & teachers, friends & families are invited to come along and join the wider Bergen school community and discover Bergen through “Avondvierdaagse”, four different 5km walks which take place every evening from 18H30 between 9-12 May 2022.

For many years, the organiser of the sports camps “Go with the Flo” has been organising this event in Bergen. Because many children participate, schools provide their support in order to properly register the children and their supervisors. This is not a school event, however we offer our cooperation because we support the objective. Responsibility for the children remains at all times with the parents.

Registration is required in advance and costs 5 euro per pupil and 2,50 euro per accompanying parent / adult. The registration must be completed and handed in to school by Monday 2 May.

Pupils are encouraged to wear their blue ESB school sports t-shirt /hoody for identification purposes as several schools will be participating.

Pupils need to register at the PA table each evening before the walk starts at 18:30.

The Parents` Association will be supporting the event with orange and peppermint “bursts” for on the road refreshment each evening so be sure to bring a clean handkerchief with you so that we can make them! At the end of the four-day challenge the PA will support School Management with the medal distribution and provide delicious healthy snacks and drinks.

All walks finish at the start point, except the Thursday where the finish point is on Kastanjelaan near the Hertenkamp (medals will be given out here). You can find further information (in Dutch) at https://wandelvierdaagsebergen.nl/

In addition, as a participant of the Avond4daagse you can use the introductory promotion of the sports camps of “Go with the Flo” if you register your child for a sports camp for the first time before 1 June. You will then receive a discount of 50 euros!!! So register your child quickly. When registering, state that your child is participating or has participated in the Avondvierdaagse. “Go with the Flo” will verify this via the registration lists. Please hand in registration form and entry fee in an envelope to the class teacher of your child(ren) by Monday 2 May. (S1/2 please put in box in Educational Adviser’s office).
