Dear Parents,
As our festive season at school draws to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to
the children, teachers, families, volunteers, Class Representatives and all members of the
educational teams, who together made December such a warm, joyful and truly memorable
time for our entire community.

From the celebrations of Sint Maarten, to the much-anticipated visits of Sinterklaas and Piet,
and the surprised smiles when a miniature Santa Claus appeared on stage during the Christmas
concert, each moment helped create the unique atmosphere of sharing, magic and togetherness
that filled the school throughout this wonderful period.

Between the joyful voices of our youngest pupils at the Nursery & Primary Christmas Concert,
the energy and generosity of the Secondary Live Aid, and the moments spent lingering after the
performances — sharing a warm cup of glühwein kindly offered by the Parents’ Association —
the festive spirit was truly alive and well.

As Charles Dickens so beautifully wrote:
“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”

Over these past weeks, it certainly felt as though our hearts truly did honour Christmas. It is now
up to all of us to carry this spirit of sharing, solidarity and community with us throughout 2026.
But for now… it is time to slow down.

Time to enjoy a well-deserved break, to savour the festive season, share precious family
moments, laugh, rest… and, of course, indulge in a few extra chocolates, completely guilt-free —
it’s the rule in December.

And what about 2026?
We can’t promise that lunchboxes won’t be forgotten on the very first day back…
but we can promise exciting projects, a strong sense of community, and plenty of lovely
surprises ahead!

Until then, we wish you very happy holidays, a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2026, filled with
warmth, togetherness and fresh new beginnings.
