We hereby forward to you a letter about the future relocation of the school. It was sent by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) Project Leader to the School Advisory Council (SAC) and lays out the timeline for this stage of the decision-making process. As you can see, today was the deadline for the Ministry to confirm whether or not both location propositions are complete, correct, and meet the requirements to be further assessed: both location bids have successfully moved into the next stage of assessment.
What will the PA do?
As one of the school stakeholders, the PA represents all parents in the SAC. As you can see in the updated timeline, we will receive the two proposals from Alkmaar and Zaandam after the Easter holidays. We will of course share them with you. We then have 6 weeks to collect your input and questions and to communicate this to the Dutch Ministry (OCW). We are now trying to find the best way to gather your input and questions. We will get back to you very soon with our plans.
The ministry will then have about a month’s time to get back to us. The decision of the future location of ESB will be made by the Dutch Ministry and presented to the Board of Governors by December 2021 the latest, for their approval.
