About arts & crafts club:
In this Arts/Crafts club I take an integrative approach: we appreciate the art in the world around us- events or environments inspire creations, or an artwork is simply made to apply our imaginations. While the feeling of a completed artwork or handicraft is very rewarding, the socio-educational and emotional process of art and craft is truly part of the journey. I am interested in guiding children to develop their artistic skills and become motivated to create. We’ll learn draw, paint, learn basic techniques, make crafts, and more!
About the instructor:
Hi! I am Batool and I come from South Africa. I qualified as a teacher, one of my main areas being art in education. I taught full-time for two years at a public school in Johannesburg, South Africa, including art and was the senior primary arts and culture head for a year. I also coordinated the extra-curricular art club at this school.
