PA News Koningsdag 2021

Dear Parents,

Koningsdag is upon us so we will keep this update as short as possible!

Future School Location Bids

  • We in the PA have had help from the school’s very supportive IT-team, so we were able to ask all the parents, registered with the school, to take part in our short Future Location survey. This week we’ve sent out a reminder: both the original email and the reminder should show “pa_survey@esbergen.eu” as the email’s sender. If you did not receive the email with the personal link to our survey, and if you’ve double-checked your junk/spam/deleted/school emails folders, please send us an email at esbpacontact@gmail.com
  • We’ve submitted parents’ first round of questions to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW), Alkmaar Gemeente and Zaanstad Gemeente. We hope to receive the answers today (26th April). Once we have them, we will add them to the Q&A section of our website: https://europeanschool-parents.nl/esb_school_futureQA
  • Please do check out our Q&A page and, if you have a question about the two location bids, that we haven’t asked yet, please send us an email at esbpafuturelocation@gmail.com before Sunday 2nd May. That’s the deadline for this second and final round of questions, so please don’t miss it!

Traffic around the school

While construction vehicles continue to pull up bushes and plough the grass verges at the school gates, we would like to repeat Jeroen Groot’s message of 22/Apr in which he explained that “staff and pupils are (now) allowed to cycle or walk through the cemetery. At the junction of the Molenweidtje / Kerkedijk you have to follow the Kerkedijk. Take the second left to enter the cemetery. The gate between the cemetery and the Molenweidtje will be opened daily between 08.00 – 09.00 and 16.15 – 17.00. If you choose this route, please treat the area with great respect, and also note that as it is private property, you use this route at your own risk.”

  • As this term progresses, Molenweidtje will become increasingly difficult for drivers to navigate. It may be prudent to make the switch to using Churchilllaan now to avoid the inevitable delays that are increasing on Kerkedijk and Molenweidtje.

Fijne Koningsdag!
